Prem Nath wrote novels in Hindi and English and was deeply spiritual. When he had an unsuccessful stint as a producer of four movies and three documentaries in the 1950s , he felt quite despaired and made a spiritual visit to Kailash mountain -the abode of Shivji and then in 1957, he made a documentary on his travel titled ‘Kailas Darshan’.He is not only remembered for his dashing persona and acting skills but also for his generous heart. He had financially bailed out 1940s actress Cuckoo when she was in trouble . Similarly actor Amrish Puri had recalled the day when a downpour had washed out a play in which he was acting in, then Prem Nath made it to the auditorium and paid Puri enough money to cover the box office receipts . Even in matters of heart , he was equally considerate and so much that he when he fell in love with Madhubala in 1951 during the shooting of film Baadal बादल , he took no time to backtrack from his relationship with her as soon he came to know that his friend and actor Dilip kumar also had romantic feelings for her. The legendary Premnath died of heart attack on 3rd, November,1992 at the age of 65 leaving behind his strong and memorable footprints in the hindi cinema .
