Mohan Atmaram Deshmukh

Mohan Atmaram Deshmukh ( popularly known as Mohan Choti ) was quite a popular comedy actor in hindi fillms .
He was born in the year 1935 to a Constable Atmaram Deshmukh at Amravati , Maharashtra.
His screen name Mohan chotey became popular after his character worked with this very name in 1957 film – Musafir in the role of a tea shop delivery boy who kept a “choti” ( परम्परागत चोटी ) on the top of his head .
Mohan Choti amused and entertained his audience in his own style in nearly 280 films from 1954 to 1994 and also produced and directed two films -Dhoti Lota Aur Chowpatty and Hunterwali 77 .
He earned name and popularity right from his initial films like Devdas ( 1955),Musafir(19 57),Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi(1958),Kagaz Ke Phool(1959) etc . His first film was Jagriti in 1954 and last released film was Do Fantoosh in 1994 .
Later in life he also opened a restaurant under the name of “Sawal roti ka; Dhaba choti ka सवाल रोटी का ढाबा चोटी का .
He died on 1 February 1992 at the age of 57 at Bombay .
